I’m originally from Michigan now living in Northern California halfway between Lake Tahoe and the city of San Francisco. The perfect place near the mountains, near the ocean, and near Napa Valley. I get a lot of inspiration from time spent at our cabin on Donner Lake in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Over the years my photography style has evolved. I enjoy photographing every day things in unusual ways. There has been a camera in my hand for many years of travel, tasting, teaching, and living, all of which I enjoy sharing with students. With camera in-hand, it is a great time for me to slow down and think about where I want to lead the viewer’s eye. I have a huge curiosity about trying new ideas, which has led me to shooting with Lensbaby Lenses – now a part of my kit!
